IS IT SAFE?
Post-procedure Complications
Complications following ZEISS SMILE® surgery are very rare, but cannot be completely ruled out. Our eye doctor will discuss these with you.
HOW LONG IS THE
RECOVERY PROCESS?
Every individual’s healing process is different and improves over time. In most cases, visual acuity is very good one or two days after the operation and stabilizes within a week. Normally, you will be able to drive, work and participate in sports without glasses or contact lenses just a few days following treatment.
HOW DO I PREPARE?
Pre-procedure Preparation
If you wear contact lenses,you will be required to lay off soft lenses for at least 3 days, hard lenses for at least 14 days. This is for the cornea to assume its original shape. You are advised not to apply makeup, lotions or perfume the day you have surgery. Also, it is suggested that you arrange to have someone assist you home afterward.
