Eye Check-Up and Screenings
A detailed eye screening includes comprehensive tests and examinations by an ophthalmologist to detect conditions like refractive errors, presbyopia (“lao hua”), glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other retinal diseases.
Regular screenings are crucial for early detection, as many eye conditions show no early symptoms. Early treatment can help prevent vision loss. Screenings are especially important for those with a family history of glaucoma, macular degeneration, or diabetic retinopathy.

Things to note
- Please refrain from wearing contact lenses on the day of your eye screening. We suggest wearing glasses instead and putting on your contact lenses after the screening is complete.
- During the screening, eye drops may be used to dilate your pupils, which can cause blurred near vision for a few hours. Your vision is typically expected to return to normal within 12 to 24 hours.
- For your safety, we advise against driving immediately after your screening.
